I had a trip to a dollar store yesterday. I spent killing time checking out those little knick knacks and trinkets that tickle my childish bones. It is a paradise for a miser a like me. Nevertheless, I refrain from buying the food stuff. Its prices scare me. I always wonder on why goods in dollar stores are cheap as compared to a regular store for the same brand. As curious as I can be, I went to scrutinize from the quality of packaging up to the expiration date posted therein. I found out that some foods are expiring soon, even as close as next week. Some are in early 2011, which is fairly good.
For you out there who like buying foods from dollar stores, be sure to check the expiration date before procuring it. It is better to be safe than be sorry later on.
