As promised, here is my new guest writer’s first entry.
A little while back in Candytropic a candyan named Crystal Jewel found the mystical place in the heart of their planet, The secret of the candycave. It was sizzling summertime, the jolliest season of the century. All the kids and adults love it because it is the only time when they just can “chillax” ( chill and relax mixed together). When all the other candyans played and laughed, Crystal Jewel was sitting in the steps of her candy cane school and then, suddenly the wind brought her a ragged scroll. She opened it and found out it was a map to the wonderful secret of the candycave. When she was about to scroll it back up when there was a hologram of the first candyan of Candytropic and it told her that after the sun sets the scroll will disappear forever. She quickly told her friend about it, packed up, and they both headed up to Licorice Mountain to begin their journey.
Licorice Mountain was fierce. When Crystal and her best pal , Lolly Pops, were half way the mountain they ran into trouble,ENORMOUS trouble. They had to cross the icy river but, this river isn’t a ordinary river it is a wide, slippery, thin, icy river. Underneath it is a river full of Northern Candyan Eating Piranhas. It was a good thing that they both packed their lightweight ice skates. They both quickly put on their skates because it was getting cold and they started to skate. When they were ten yards from the end the ice started to shake and immediately started to crack. Both Lolly and Crystal would skate for their lives if they didn’t want to be huge popsicles for the piranhas. They barely made it through and it was already noontime. The scroll faded halfway but good thing it only faded the all of the Licorice Mountain part. Only the food maze is left and finally the secret of the candycave!
The food maze is trickier than you think, knowing that it is made out of veggies. Lolly and Crystal were officially lost in the heart of this crazy maze. They guessed which way to go. Then they meet a helpful wizard, Sweet Tarts, which helped them by giving them a map to the end of the food maze and a old poem. They didn’t know what the poem was for so they asked Sweet Tarts and he said, “You will know what to when the time is right.” They worriedly checked the scroll and two thirds of it was faded. It was only one hour until the sun sets. Again they were off!
They got to the entrance but it was shut, magically shut. Next to it was a old honeycomb connected to a long, skinny branch which is stuck in a small sized boulder. It looked like a microphone. Crystal has an idea! Maybe they had to say the old poem. So they tried it and the poem was:Candytropic is a huge blast! All works well, let us make it last! Never let it melt and rot! Don’t think it is store bought! Yell when you have fun, try the hot dog in the bun! C.A.N.D.Y.! Suddenly the entrance opened and the candycave map disappeared. The cave had an endless supply of golden chocolate coins, lollipops, sugary rock crystals on a stick, sweet tarts, candy canes, gumdrops, licorice, butterscotch candies, and any other kinds of sugary sweet treats. Once they made this huge discovery they became famous and rich even Sweet Tarts the wizard but, they all remember the special day it happened. In the future the candyans turned the cave into a factory that helped balance the nature of their super sweet planet!
