For some reason, I am a tad bit sentimental today. It is Sunday, and here I am in my little writing nook. The day seems to drag slowly. Am I complaining? Yes and no. Obviously, “drag slowly” equates to “boring”. But on a brighter note, I am glad that I have Internet services at home to help me live a little. Where would I be without the Internet? Let me think…I would be definitely in the library or the bookstore, salivating with all the books my eyes can see. I am not much of a park or a mall person. Besides, the Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach is not really a must place to visit. Sad to say, I have to go all the way to Orlando or St. Augustine whenever I desire to (window) shop.

Last night, the City of Ormond Beach had its annual holiday parade. Though the little mushroom was a participant of the said parade, I did not watch it. I am still mad at myself. I should have gone. Gladly, there are some people who witnessed it posted some pictures. I get to experience what it was like to be there. By the way, kudos to the city government of Ormond Beach. It was another successful event.

Though I like staying at home, I still find ways to know what’s going on around my neighborhood and the country in general. In my four years of living here in the US, I know things that some citizens do not bother know. I am a big fan of the bureaucratic processes of the government, especially tax and immigration legislations. I also dig OpenCourseWare to feed my hunger for knowledge. Whether a dial up or a dsl connection, the Internet makes it a whole lot of difference.
