That is right. Tomorrow is the start of the “usual”. There are no more long holiday weekends, and classes will start as usual. This also means, the little mushroom will be back to her regular martial arts classes. She will be back to being the active and athletic kid that she is. The only thing that I am not so fond about it is – she has to bring her gym bag to school every day. It is pretty heavy, if you ask me. Good thing – she has the strength to carry it until the afternoon to her martial arts class. The place does not have steel lockers. They do have a locker, but it is open. It is just basically steel racks where the kids can store their (other) gym bags, which contain the sparring gears. As for the daily gym bag that she carries, she just put it anywhere there’s a space. It is not the usual gym set-up, but so far, parents are fine with it. Since it is a privately owned establishment, I do not really have much of a choice. It is a matter of – take it or leave it, and I choose to “take it”.
Anyway, I am hoping that the new year will bring more blessings to my family and to everyone. I pray and hope that, 2012 is a great year for us just like 2011.
