It has been two weeks since I deactivated my personal Facebook account. I must admit – it is a challenge, a tough one, being not connected to my friends and family. But you know what, I need the space for my own sanity. Once everything is fine, I should be back on track with my virtual social life.
As a blogger, my goal is to have high readership value. So being out-of-touch could hurt my Page Rank. But since I still have my other social network accounts, I am able to maintain my PR3 rank. Here is another challenge – visiting all my accounts on a daily basis. After my 8-hour work day, all that I am looking forward to is the must-needed sleep.
How can I organize my social network accounts? This question was answered briefly through my discovery of MyLife.com. With one access, I can view and update my Twitter, Linkedin and (soon) Facebook updates in a single user-friendly dashboard. Cool, right? Since I am not yet ready to register for a premium membership, which can costs $6.95* a month, I chose their free account. It has limited access, but as far I am concerned, it suits my needs. If you are more connected to the world than a regular person, the website also has added personal manager apps. Check them out!
