This blog chronicles the random ramblings of a 33-year old working mother of one athletic and mentally gifted child (known as the Little Mushroom) as experienced and observed while living a life in the beautiful city of Ormond Beach, Florida. In a struggle to be the motherly mother, she ventures into activities outside her comfort zone to give her child a better and exciting childhood.
She came to the US last September 2007 to join her husband, the Knight. Life is wonderful. But as reality strikes, life is expensive in the US - she became a self- proclaimed cheapskate and an avid bargain hunter, seeking for great deals and savings in every store she goes. Extravagance and frugality are two totally different terms in her vocabulary. Frugal – yes, she is. Extravagant? Definitely not, except when the occasion calls for it.
Along with her family – the Knight and the little mushroom, she embarks on a journey that may be ordinary, but will somehow instill in the readers’ minds – life is wonderful, no matter where we are and what we have. It is what we make it.
Also, this online journal is a continuation of her other WordPress blog, which she created in 2006 while in the Philippines. Obviously, blogging is not new to her. In her desire to have freedom in monetizing her passion of writing, this blog was published on March 6, 2010.
